He was the husband of Mary Hannah (née Jackson formerly Henerys) Ushon and the step father of Lizzie (née Jackson) Stainforth. In 1911 Ushon was lodging with his future wife who was listed as a widow.

Military History

Ushon attested 4/1/1915 and arrived in France 12/10/1915. On enlistment Ushon was 5' 2" tall and weighed 154lbs. He was buried in a 'small cemetery near road just s. of Fricourt 3 miles e. of Albert' (ASR) but the grave must have been subsequently destroyed because he is commemorated at Thiepval.
