John Ernest (Jack) was the son of William and Elizabeth Brown and the brother of Edith Elizabeth, Gertrude Ellen and William Richard Brown. In 1911 they lived at 88 Holgate Road and later at 21 Bell Street (both Nottingham).
He has no known grave and is commemorated on the Arras Memorial.
