Family History

He was the son of Thomas a groom and Mary Sharpe and the brother of William, Jane, Charles R and George H Sharpe. He married Ellen Elizabeth Atkinson in 1901 and they had 3 children Harriet May born 1911, Jack born 1913 and Leslie born 1917. They also had a child who died during infancy. In 1911 they lived at 10 Rye Street Basford Nottingham.

Military History

Transferred 345036 to 468th Home Service Employment Coy Labour Corps. He enlisted 1st October 1914 and arrived in France 14th March 1915 and was discharged from the army 3rd June 1918. He was issued a silver badge number 393887 on his discharge.
