Family History

He was the foster son of Mrs Sophie Brewer of 60 Gladstone Street Hyson Green Nottingham. He was lodging at 19 Silverdale Road, Basford, in 1911.

Military History

Private Claude Eugene Turton, enlisted at Derby and served with the 2nd Battalion Northumberland Fusiliers, he was killed in action on 2nd October 1915. He is commemorated on the Loos Memorial.
