Charles Frederick Thompson was born in 1896 the son of William a wood sawyer and Edith Thompson née Haslam and the brother of Arthur and Walter Thompson. William was born in 1870 at Nottingham, Edith Haslam was born in 1877 at Nottingham, married in 1895 at Nottingham. They lived at 14 Waters Place, Court Street Hyson Green Nottingham in 1911.

Military History

Private Charles Frederick Thompson enlisted at Nottingham, he initially served with the service number 37450 in the Sherwood Foresters Regiment. He was killed in action on 10th August 1917 he is buried at Tyne Cot Cemetery.
