Family History

Frank was born in 1896 in Nottingham and was the son Thomas a baker and Evangeline Terry née Pilkington of 442 Berridge Road Hyson Green Nottingham. His father Thomas was born in 1873 in Hucknall and his mother Evangeline Pilkington was born in 1869 in Nottingham, they went on to marry in 1895 in Nottingham and went on to have 5 children, sadly two of whom died in infancy or early childhood, their surviving children were Frank b1896, Arthur b1898 and Charles Willis b1902, all were born in Nottingham In the 1911 census the family were living at 442 Berridge Road, Hyson Green, Nottingham and were shown as Thomas 38 yrs a baker, he is living with his wife Evangeline 42 yrs and their children Frank 15 yrs a lithograph printer, Arthur 13 yrs a scholar and Charles Willis 9 yrs a scholar.

Military History

Private Frank Terry, enlisted at Nottingham and served with the 15th Battalion Nottinghamshire & Derbyshire Regiment, he was killed in action on 13th July 1917. He is buried in Villers-Faucon Communal Cemetery.
