Thomas Lambert was born in 1874 and was the son of the late John a general labourer and the late Frances Matilda Lambert née Pole of Nottingham. John was born in 1827 at Nottingham he died in 1894 aged 67 yrs Frances Matilda Pole was born in 1836 at Leicester she died in 1908 aged 72 yrs they were married in 1859 at Nottingham, they had 5 children. Thomas married Edith Hilda Doram (born 1st May 1870) in 1919 their marriage was recorded in the Nottingham registration district they lived at 7 Kennington Terrace Gadd Street Nottingham.

Military History

Private Thomas Lambert had served in the South African campaign and in Egypt and India. He was serving with the 39th battalion, Northumberland Fusiliers when he died on 31st December 1919 of pneumonia, he is buried in the Nottingham General Cemetery
