Albert Fairclough was born in 1893 the son of the late William a photographers agent and Harriet Fairclough née Dabell of 5 Bobbers Mill Road Hyson Green Nottingham. William was born in 1842 at March, Cambridgeshire, he died in 1911 aged 69 yrs Harriett Dabell was born in 1852 at Gotham, married in 1874 at Nottingham they went on to have 10 children, 2 died in infancy or early childhood. In 1911 the family were living at 214 Berridge Road, Hyson Green, Nottingham.

Military History

Private Albert Fairclough enlisted at Nottingham , he initially served with the service number 3651 in the Middlesex Regiment. He was killed in action on 27th August 1917, having no known grave his name is commemorated on the Tyne Cot Memorial
