William Edward Wilson

William Edward Wilson was born in 1886 at Bestwood and he was the son of the late Charles Lewis a coal miner and Mary Ann Wilson néé Hames of Hucknall His father Charles was born in 1851 at Adlington, Lancashire and died in 1895 at Bestwood aged 45 yrs and his mother Mary Ann Hames was born in 1861 at Heanor, they were married in 1878 their marriage was recorded in the Basford registration district, they went on to have the following children, Annie b1878, Alice b1884, Charles Lewis b1885, William Edward b1886 and Elizabeth b1895 all were born at Bestwood. His mother went on to re marry in 1900 to James Ball, their marriage was recorded in the Basford registration district. In the 1911 census William Edward has left the family home and is a boarder living at 53 Montague Road, Hucknall he is shown as being 25 yrs of age single and a coal miner hewer he is living with the widow Mary Jane Cowley 65 yrs of age and her married daughter and son.
