He was the son of Charles Richard and Elizabeth Miller and the brother of Charlotte Theresa and Grace Isabel Miller. In 1911 they lived at Asylum Cottages Willerby East Yorkshire. Charles and Elizabeth later lived at Council Cottages Stokeham East Retford Nottinghamshire.
