Military History

Sapper Elisha Makinson enlisted in Sheffield, he was residing in East Retford at the time, he served with 459th Field Coy, Royal Engineers and landed in France on 10th October 1915. He was killed in action on 16th March 1917 and is buried in Philosophie British Cemetery.
