Military History

Private Archibald Vernon McQuin, enlisted at Mansfield and served with “D” Company, 2nd Battalion Nottinghamshire & Derbyshire Regiment. he was killed when his billet was struck by shellfire on 26th September 1914. He is commemorated on La Ferte-sous-Jouarre Memorial.
