He was the son of Arthur and Beatrice McQuin and the brother of Marguerite, Beatrice and Sarah McQuin. In 1911 they lived at 11 Bleak Hills Mansfield.
Military History
Private Archibald Vernon McQuin, enlisted at Mansfield and served with “D” Company, 2nd Battalion Nottinghamshire & Derbyshire Regiment. he was killed when his billet was struck by shellfire on 26th September 1914. He is commemorated on La Ferte-sous-Jouarre Memorial.
