Parents Thomas and Janet Henderson of Stirling. Widow: Ethel, nee Goulding married 16/02/1911. Children: Ethel, born 15/06/1911, Elizabeth, born 6/6/1912 and died 18/6/1912 and Thomas Valentine born 14/02/1914. The family lived at 84 Moor Street, Mansfield. Ethel was awarded a pension of 27 shillings & 11d for herself and 2 surviving children.

Military History

Enlisted in Glasgow on 09/08/1901 aged 19 years and 8 months. He only stood 5ft 4 inches high. In France from 13/08/1914. Gun shot wound to left shoulder/arm and side in April 1917.

Headstone Inscription: "Until the day breaks". This man is commemorated in a book of remembrance held by Mansfield District Council.
