Son of Annie E Cooling of Disney Norton, Lincolnshire. Annie was unmarried so details of his father are unknown. Widow: Mary Jane, nee Speed, married 1906. Lived at Portland Street, Pleasley. They had one son but he died young and 2 daughters, Ethel, 1912 and Doris in 1913. Mary married Samuel Holmes in the spring of 1917.
