William Buckley Harris

William Buckley Harris was born in 1891 in Langley Mill and was the son of William Carter Harris a coal miner and Alice Harris née Wragg of 45 Derbyshire Lane, Hucknall. His father William Carter was born in 1859 in Blackwell, Worcestershire and his mother Alice was born in 1866 in Hucknall they were married in 1894 their marriage was recorded in the Basford Registration District, they had a further two children however I died in infancy, their other surviving child was a daughter Hannah born 1902 in Hucknall. In the 1911 census the family are living at 45 Derbyshire Lane Hucknall , and are shown as William Carter Harris 52 yrs a colliery banksman, he is living with his wife Alice 45 yrs and their children William 20 yrs a colliery banksman and Hannah 9 yrs, they state in the census that they have been married for 21 yrs and had had 3 children 1 of which has died.
