He was the only son of the late F Swanwick and of Mrs MJ Swanwick, 147 Pym Street, Nottingham.

Military History

He was called up for service and enlisted with the Sherwood Foresters, No. 3951, but later volunteered for the Machine Gun Corps. Following training at Belton House, Grantham he was sent to France, but was killed in action on 03/07/1917 and buried at Mory Abbey Military Cemetery, Mory.(I. J. 9.)
