Family History

He was the son of Everard and Clara Shaw and the brother of Ernest , John Bernard and Clarence Joseph (killed in action 12/10/1917) Shaw. They lived at 40 St Bartholomew's Road St Ann's Nottingham.

Military History

Shaw was called up for service and took part in the Battle of Cambrai. He was killed when hit by a shell. His body was not recovered, but his name was commemorated on the Cambrai Memorial at Louverval. (Panel 8). He was the second son to be killed in less than two months.
