He was the son of Joseph and Mary Harrison and the brother of Thomas, Alice, Beatrice and Harry Harrison. In 1911 they lived at 31 Lowdham Street and later 10 Pym Street (both St Ann's Nottingham). He was the husband of Mabel (née Henry) Harrison and the father of Joseph and Sidney Harrison. Mabel married Samuel Love in 1919 and they lived at 18 Guy's Terrace Blue Bell Hill St Ann's Nottingham.
