He was the son of William and Mary Ann Belshaw and the brother of Nellie Belshaw. In 1911 they lived at 12 Eastville Street Nottingham.

Military History

Frank Leslie Belshaw joined the 1st Battalion Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derby Regiment) in France on 18 March 1915 as part of a draft of 2 officers and 116 other ranks who arrived as replacements for losses at Neuve Chapelle. Two months after arriving in France, Frank died of wounds in Cambridge Hospital, England. He is buried in Nottingham Church Cemetery, grave - St Paul's 9192.
