He was the grandson of Bradley Lee of 2 Curtis Streeet Hucknall Torkard Nottinghamshire. In the 1911 census the family are living at 2 Curtis Street, Hucknall and are shown as Bradley Lee 66 yrs a widow and coal miner hewer, he is living with his son Bradley Lee 26 yrs a platelayer and his grandson Harry Allcock 14 yrs a coal miner pony driver, also living at the address is William Osbourne 36 yrs a coal miner and a son in law.

Military History

Private Harry Allcock enlisted at Nottingham on 15th May 1915 giving his age as 19 yrs and 7 months, he lived at 2 Curtis Street, Hucknall, he was a coal miner, his next of kin was his grandfather Bradley Lee of the same adddress. He served with the 16th battalion Sherwood Foresters Regiment and went to France on 6th March 1916 and was killed in action, 8th October 1916, in the attack on the Schwaben Redoubt, Thiepval, France, during the Battle of the Somme. He is buried at Connaught Cemetery, Thiepval
