Harry Savage was born in 1879 at Nottingham, he married Annie Elizabeth Lowe (born 1878 Nottingham) in 1899 at Nottingham, they had no children but adopted May Matthews born 1899 In 1911, the family lived at 31, Denman Street, Radford, Nottingham Harry is 32 yrs and is a dairyman, he is living with his wife Annie 33 yrs, and their adopted daughter May Matthews 12 yrs, they state they have been married for 11 yrs and have had no children.

Military History

Private Harry Savage enlisted at Nottingham, he initially served with the service number 39820 in the Lincolnshire Regiment. He was serving with the 6th battalion King's Own Scottish Borderers when he was killed in action on 27th July 1918. He is buried at Vendresse British Cemetery, France.
