He was the son of George and Mary Parkes and the brother of Harry and Constance Mabel Parkes. In 1911 they lived at 171 Rupert Street and later at 105 Glapton Road (both Meadows Nottingham).

Military History

Private Harold George Parkes, enlisted at Nottingham and served with the 10th Battalion Nottinghamshire & Derbyshire Regiment, he was killed in action on 13th October 1918. He is buried in Neuvilly Communal Cemetery Extension.
