Lewis Reginald Nilan

Lewis Reginald Nilan was born in 1898 at Warsop and was the son of Frederick a colliery bank manager and Alice Nilan née Boston of 11 Queen Street, Warsop. His father Frederick was born in 1859 at Warsop, his mother Alice Mary Boston was born in 1860 also at Warsop, they were married in 1889 their marriage was recorded in the Mansfield registration district, they went on to have the following children, John Boston b1892, Winifred Mary b1892, Frederick b1893, Wilfred Thomas b1895, Lewis Reginald b1898, Maud Hannah b1897 and Evelyn b1902 all were born at Warsop. In the 1911 census the family are living at 11 Queen Street, Warsop and are shown as Frederick 53 yrs a colliery bank manager, he is living with his wife Alice Mary 51 yrs and their children, John Boston 20 yrs a colliery labourer, Frederick 18 yrs a colliery labourer, Wilfred Thomas 16 yrs a colliery labourer, Winifred Mary 19 yrs working at home, Lewis Reginald 12 yrs a scholar, Maud Hannah 14 yrs a scholar and Evelyn 9 yrs of age.
