Son of Henry Albert Samuel Lister and Mary Fanny Lister, of 36, Derby Rd., Nottingham.
Second Lieutenant Thomas Fredrick Lister gained a commission in November 1915 and served with the 27th (Tyneside Irish) Bn, Northumberland Fusiliers. He was killed in action on 28th April 1917. Having no known grave, he is commemorated on the Arras Memorial.
