Family History

Arthur Cutts was born in 1894 the son of the late Abraham and Esther Emma Cutts née Naylor of 55 Lime Street Sutton in Ashfield Nottinghamshire. Abraham was born in 1873, Esther Emma Naylor was born in 1875 both were born in Sutton in Ashfield, his father Abraham died in 1899 aged 25 yrs, they were married in 1893 their marriage was recorded in the Basford registration district, they had a further son Abraham born 1897. In 1911 Arthur is living with his widowed grandfather Ernest Naylor and mother and brother at 35 Parliament Street, Sutton in Ashfield.

Military History

Private Arthur Cutts, enlisted at Sutton in Ashfield he served with the 13th Battalion Royal Welsh Fusiliers, he accidentally died (pension card) on 14th April 1916 and is buried in Guards Cemetery, Windy Corner, Cuinchy.
