Family History

He was the son of Albert H. and Elizabeth A. Skevington. In 1901 Albert and Elizabeth with their three children, Mabel H. (12), Leslie (6) and Maurice (4, b. abt 1897) were living at 22 Park Street, Nottingham (St Nicholas' parish). Albert was an accountant (on his own account). They had a visitor on the night of the census, Ann Bowring (84), who was a widow. At the time of Maurice's death his parents were living in Belgrave Square (obit).

Military History

He has no known grave and is commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial. He qualified for the British War Medal and Victory Medal.
