They were married at St Saviour's church, Meadows, Nottingham, on 29 March 1890 (J/F/M Nottingham) and had seven children who were all born in Nottingham: Esther b. 12 April 1891 (A/M/J Nottingham), Daniel William b. 1893 (A/M/J Nottingham), Percy b. 19 March 1896 (J/F/M Nottingham) bap. St Bartholomew 10 May 1896, Herbert b. 1898 (J/A/S Nottingham), John b. 5 September 1900 (J/A/S Nottingham) bap. St Bartholomew 14 October 1900, Amy Kathleen (Kathleen) b. 27 November 1907 (O/N/D Nottingham) and Katherine Mary b. 15 February 1910 (J/F/M Nottingham). In 1891, the year after their marriage, Daniel (23) an iron planer and Esther (20) were living on St Alban's Street, Nottingham. They were still living on St Alban's Street when their third child, Percy, was baptised at St Bartholomew's church in May 1896. However, by 1901 the family was living at 16 Wigley Street, Nottingham. Daniel and Esther now had five children, Esther (9), Daniel (7), Percy (5), Herbert (2) and John (under 1 year). In 1911 Daniel (43) and Esther (40) were living at 8 Hudson Street, Nottingham, with their seven children; Esther (19) an order room clerk at a lace warehouse, William (17) an apprentice joiner to a joiner and undertaker, Percy (15) an office boy for a clothing manufacturer, Herbert (12), John (10), Kathleen (3) and Katherine (1). The family home was at 8 Young Street, Bluebell Hill Road, Nottingham, at the time his brother Percy's CWGC record was compiled. Daniel Bhagannah died in 1938 (A/M/J Nottingham) and at the time of the England & Wales Register the following year his widow Esther and their unmarried daughter Amy Kathleen were still living at 8 Young Street. Esther probably died in 1954 (J/F/M Basford) aged 83. Of Herbert's siblings: Esther probably married Joseph H Hart in 1922 (J/F/M Nottingham) and in 1939 they were living at 26 Bathley Street, Nottngham. Joseph (b. 20 March 1887) was a plumber and heating engineer while Esther's occupation was given as 'unpaid domestic duties'. Daniel William probably married Annie E Towle in 1933 (A/M/J Nottingham) and died in 1970 (J/F/M Nottingham). Percy served as a sergeant (27107) in the 17th Bn Sherwood Foresters and was killed on 3 September 1916 aged 20 (Knightsbridge Cemetery). John married Victoria B Powell (b. 7 May 1900) in 1922 (J/A/S Nottingham) and in 1939 they were living at 108 Oakdale Road, Carlton, with daughter Pearl (later Green) b. 27 April 1925. John was working as an aircraft motor sheet metal worker. Amy Kathleen was living with her widowed mother at the family home, 8 Young Street, in 1939. She died aged 47 in 1955 (A/M/J Nottingham).
