Harold Waite born was born in East Keel, Lincolnshire in 1897 of parents George and Harriet Waite. Harold had a brother, George William, also born in East Keel in 1898. In 1891 they were living at Spalding Road, Sutterton, Lincolnshire. At sometime after this date, Harold moved to Worksop as this is where he enlisted.
