He was the son of John Alfred and Norah Annie Langham and the brother of George, Jona and Nora Langham. In 1911 they lived at 26 Annesley Grove Nottingham and later 30 Magdala Road Mapperley Park Nottingham.

Military History

Attached 10th Bn Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derby Regiment)He served in the ranks with the London Regiment as a private with numbers 5345 and 552360 and became second lieutenant with 7th (Robin Hood) Battalion The Sherwood Foresters 28/11/1917. He transferred as second lieutenant to 10th Battalion 19/4/1918 and was killed in Lowland Support Trench Fins Ridge. Commemorated Vis-en-Artois Memorial
