Military History

Private Joseph Eason, enlisted at Hucknall he served initially with the service number 11836 with the Leicestershire Regiment later transferring to the 1st Battalion Lincolnshire Regiment, he landed in France on 17th February 1915 and was killed in action on 4th June 1915. He is commemorated on the Menin Gate memorial, Ypres, Belgium. .
