Alfred was the son of Alfred who worked as a Levers lace maker and Martha Page of Rose Cottage Park Road Chilwell. He was the brother of Francis Edward, George Albert and Dorothy Page. In 1911, they lived at 'Glencoe' Villas Park Road, Chilwell.
