Percy was born in 1886 in Calverton,the son of Henry and Harriet Bardill he resided on the Avenue at Calverton and was a hosiery worker.In the 1911 census he is living there with his wife Mabel Annie born 1894 he had 4 children Sarah Doris born 1904 Ida born 1908 James born 1909 and Jack born in 1911.

He enlisted in Sutton in Ashfield into the Sherwood Foresters he was killed in action France & Flanders
