George Judd Johnson was born in 1895 he was the son of Minnie Johnson, a grocer, and the brother of James Judd Johnson and Thomas Judd Johnson of 1 Lothian Place, Dean Street, Nottingham. In 1911 they lived at 44 Barker Gate Nottingham.

Military History

Private George Judd Johnson enlisted at Nottingham, he served with the 2nd battalion South Staffordshire regiment, he was killed in action on 28th April 1917 having no known grave his name is commemorated on the Arras memorial.

Extra Information

His name is incorrectly cited as George Judd on both St Mary's memorials. He was born A/M/J/ 1895 so may have been 22 when killed. Research Rachel Farrand
