Thomas Marshal had married the late Annie Marshall and they lived at Malt Mill Lane, Nottingham.

Military History

Pte. Marshall was too old for front line service, but in joining the Royal Defence Corps he was able to make a contribution to the war effort by taking on both guarding and protection roles, such as protecting headquarters, dumps and bridges. This released younger men for the front line. Pte. Marshall did not serve abroad and died on 06/10/1918. He was buried in the General Cemetery, Nottingham.
