Ethel born 1888, Frederick born 1889, Thomas born 1892, Harry born 1895 and Harold born 1897, were all children born in Worksop to William and Mary Revell. They all lived at 10 Plants Yard, Worksop where their father was em-ployed as a coachman. By 1911, 16 year old Harry was working the pits as a pony driver. He and brother Frederick later enlisted to fight in the war.
Pte. Harry Revill Worksop Guardian 26 April 1918 Reported missing since October 11th last year, news has now been received by his parents that Pte. Harry Revill, son of Mr. and Mrs. Revill, 10 Plant Yard Worksop was killed in action on or about that date at Ypres. Pte Revill who was in the Sherwood Foresters enlisted in May, 1915, and was wounded in the following April, and after a stay in hospital again went up to the line. His parents had clung on to the hope that he had been taken prisoner in a night attack which he was detailed, and now months of alternating hope and fears, news that he was killed comes as a heavy blow. Pte. Revill would have been 23 years of age next June. Another brother Pte. Frederick Revill was in the Durham L.I., and has been temporary discharged, suffering from the affects of wounds. Great sympathy will be expressed with Mr. and Mrs. Revill in their trouble.
