Clarence Gervase Gibson

Clarence Gervase Gibson was born in 1898 in West Bridgford and was the son of Albert an artist and photographer and Mary Gibson née Atkin, of 43, North Rd., West Bridgford, Nottingham. His father Albert was born in 1863 in Lenton and his mother Mary Atkin was born in 1865 also in Lenton. They were married in 1889 in Nottingham and went on to have 8 children all of whom were born in West Bridgford. and were :- Albert Claude b1890, Archibald b1892, Horace b1893, Cyril Atkin b1896, Clarance Gervase b1898, Jack Lawrence b1901, Norman Walter b1904 and Stanley b1906 . In the 1911 census the family are living at 43 North Road, West Bridgford, Nottingham and are shown as Albert 48 yrs an artist and photographer, he is living with his wife Mary 46 yrs and their children, Albert Claude 20 yrs an artist and photographer, Archibald 19 yrs a wood machinist, Horace 18 yrs a wood carver, Cyril Atkin 15 a stock brokers clerk, Clarence Gervase 13 yrs a scholar, Jack Lawrence 10 yrs a scholar, Norman Walter 7 yrs as scholar and Stanley 5 yrs a scholar.
