Percy Trevor Weston was born in 1895 the son of the late John James Weston a brewery labourer and his second wife Mary Jane Weston née Whyatt. John James was born in 1865 at Burton upon Trent he died in 1905 aged 40 yrs, (he married his first wife Maria Camp 1866-1893 with whom he had 4 daughters) Mary Jane Whyatt was born in 1865 at Burton upon Trent, married in 1895 at Burton on Trent . In 1911 Percy Weston is living at Millwood, Kirkby in Ashfield, he is living with his uncle Leonard Snelston 43 yrs a coal miner and his family, Percy is shown as being 16 yrs of age single and working as a coal miner pony driver underground.

Military History

Lance Corporal Percy Trevor Weston enlisted at Sutton in Ashfield whilst residing at Kirkby in Ashfield, he was killed in action on 10th April 1917 having no known grave his name is commemorated on the Thiepval Memorial, Somme, France.
