Family History

Arthur was born in 1889 son of William & Mary Ann Beardsley. He had 4 sisters and 3 brothers. The family were living on Freemans Terrace in Carlton on the 1891 census, but had moved to 17 Pearson Street, Netherfield by the 1901 census. Arthur was Husband of Eliza Beardsley of 49 Forester Street, Netherfield, Notts. In 1910 Arthur married Eliza Jarvis. In the 1911 census they were living with their 9 month old daughter Florence at 21 Wallett St, Netherfield.

Military History

He enlisted at Nottingham and entered the theatre of war 21 April 1915. Killed in action he is buried at Le Touret Memorial, France. He was eligible for the British & Victory medals and 1915 Star.
