Thomas Henry Frogson was born in 1873 and baptised on 6th December 1876 at The Primitive Methodist Church, Ripley. he was the son of Thomas John a county roadman and Sarah Frogson née Smith of 36 Portland Street, Pleasley Hill. Thomas John was born in 1841 at Arnold, Sarah Smith was born in 1844 at Brassington, Derbyshire they were married on 29th September 1862 at Holloway, Derbyshire, they went on to have 13 children. In 1911 the family were living at 36 Portland Street, Pleasley Hill. (Thomas) John is 70 yrs and a county roadman, he is living with his wife Sarah 67 years and three of their children.

Military History

Private Thomas Henry Frogson enlisted at Mansfield he served with the Army Service Corps in the 41st remounts. He was killed in action on 28th February 1917 at Salonica and is buried at Salonica (Lembet Road) military Cemtery, Greece.
