Employment, Education or Hobbies Lionel Schloss attended Nottingham High School, where he was highly academic and successful, between 1904 and 1907. He went to Arra College Portsmouth gaining a 1st Class degree.
Family History

He was the son of Alexander and Sarah Schloss and the brother of David Schloss. His father was a Rabbi and Lionel also intended taking up the Jewish ministry. The family lived at 17 Wildman Street, 24 Seeley Road and later 18 Portland Road (all Nottingham).

Military History

He enlisted in 1915 and was killed: 31st July 1917 in the Battle of Pilchem, the first day of the Third Battle of Ypres (Passchendaele).
