Son of George Parr, of Cliff House, The Park, Nottingham, and Alice Mary Parr. George Parr's first wife, Mary Innocent, died 11 February 1874 aged 19; his second wife, Alice Mary, died 15 August 1921 aged 67. George Parr died 19 January 1937 aged 91. Edgar Brian's brother, Denis Fillingham, 2nd Lieutenant Sherwood Foresters (Notts & Derby Regiment), was killed in France 7 July 1916.
