Family History

William Williams and Fanny Mary Wilson married at Whitwell on the 2nd January 1889. Following their marriage they moved to Cuckney where the had two children, Annie in 1890 and Ernest in 1892. In 1901, the family was living in Carburton, Notts where William worked as a groom and gardener. In 1911 whilst living at Main Street, Norton, Notts, William was still in the same trade and 19 year old Ernest had secured an apprenticeship as a wheelwright on a private estate (Welbeck)

Ernest is commemorated on the Arras Memorial, France
