He was the son of Rebecca Black (later Frost). This man's real name was Robert Frost. (see Frost's entry on this site).

Military History

2/1 Westmorland and Cumberland Hussars Frost had enlisted shortly before his eighteenth birthday at Nottingham on 13th May 1907. In 1914 he arrived in France as Driver in the Army Service Corps, attached to the 9th Field Ambulance. Recorded as a deserter from 1st January 1918, his medals forfeited, he re-enlisted under the name Thomas Black. And it is under that name he was buried and is still commemorated in Grangegorman Military Cemetery, Dublin.
