George Gilbert Radband

George Gilbert Radband was born in 1885 at Chipping Campden, Gloucester and was the son of John a wood sawyer at a colliery and Sarah Jane (Fanny) Radband née Hayward of 14 Scargill Street, Eastwood, Nottinghamshire. His father John Radband was born in 1862 at Chipping Camden and his mother Sarah Jane Hayward was also born in 1862 at Chipping Camden, they were married in 1883 at Shipton on Soar, Gloucestershire and went on to have the following children, Frank b1883 Chipping Camden, George b1885 Chipping, Harry b1887 Chipping, Nellie b1889 Chipping and William b1892 at Eastwood. in the 1911 census the family are living at 14 Scargill Street, Eastwood and are shown as John Radband 49 yrs a wood sawyer at a colliery, he is living with his wife Fanny 49 yrs and their children, Frank 28 yrs a coal miner, George 26 yrs a coal miner, Harry 24 yrs a coal miner, Nellie 22 yrs a dress maker and William 19yrs a coal miner ganger.
