Edgar Charles Stevenson

Edgar Charles was born in 1887 in Nottingham and was the son of Charles Stevenson a commercial traveller Edgar Charles married his wife Lucy Cullen in April 1907 in Nottingham and they went on to have two children, Edgar Charles born 16th November 1908 and Cecil George born 6th December 1911, both born in Nottingham, they lived at 21 Melbourne Road, West Bridgford, Nottingham In the 1911 census he and his family are living at 13 Nelson Street, Beeston, Nottingham and are listed as Edgar Charles Stevenson 23 yrs a lace merchant and shipping clerk, he is living with his wife Lucy 22 yrs and their son Edgar Charles 2 yrs. In the same census his father is living at 6 Birkland Ave, Nottingham he is shown as being 53 yrs of age and he is living with his second wife Clarissa Stevenson 60 yrs (née Etches whom he had married in Nottingham in 1893 ) and a domestic servant Lottie Cordon 15 yrs. Following his death of Edgar his widow Lucy was living at 25a Kirkwhite Street, Meadows, Nottingham and she received a letter dated 12th October 1918 from the Ministry of Pensions informing her she would be receiving a pension of 25 shillings and 5 pence a week in relation to her and her two children with effect from 21st October 1918.
