Percy Baxter

Percy Baxter was born in 1891 in Nottingham and was the son of Walter a brass bobbin maker and Eliza Baxter née Bullock of 32 Patterson Road, Nottingham. His father Walter was born in 1858 in Nottingham , he died in 1915 in Nottingham aged 58 yrs , his mother Eliza Bullock was born in 1866 in Derbyshire, they were married in 1887 their marriage was recorded in the Basford Registration District, they went on to have 5 children sadly two were to die in infancy or early childhood, their surviving children were Walter Ernest b1889, Percy b1891 and Gilbert b1909, all were born in Nottingham. In the 1911 census the family are living at 32 Patterson Road, Nottingham and are shown as Walter 53 yrs a brass bobbin maker, he is living with his wife Eliza 48 yrs and their children Walter Ernest 22 yrs a joinder/carpenter, Percy a brass bobbin maker and Gilbert 2 yrs. Percy married Florence Boyd on 9th April 1911 at All Saints Church, Nottingham, they went on to have two children, Marjorie Irene born 24th October 1912 in Nottingham and Stanley born 16th September 1914 in Birmingham, they lived at 48 Bordesley Green Road, Birmingham. Following Percy's death his wife was granted a pension of 25 shillings and 5 pence a week for her and their 2 children with effect from 31st March 1919, his widow later moved to 49 Middle Furlong Road, Nottingham.
