Family History

Reginald Victor Pearson was born in 1897 at Nottingham, he was the son of Alfred Henry Pearson a draper and Jessie Beardsall Pearson née Aveson of 269 Arkwright Street, Nottingham. His father Alfred Henry was born in 1861 at Boston, Lincs, his mother Jessie Beardsall Aveson was born in 1872 at Nottingham, they were married on 5th August 1895 at St Thomas Church, Nottingham, they went on to have 4 children. In the 1911 census the family are living at 162 Kirkwhite Street, Nottingham, Alfred Henry 49 yrs is a draper, he is living with his wife Jessie 39 yrs and their children, Reginald V 14 yrs a drapers assistant, Dorothy 12 yrs, Ethel 10 yrs and Gladys 1 year of age.

Military History

Private Reginald Pearson enlisted at Nottingham, he served with the 1/7th battalion Sherwood Foresters Regiment, he was killed in ation on 1st August 1915 aged 19 yrs he is buried at Sanctuary Wood Cemetery, Belgium. Plot 2. Row E. Grave 6.
