Family History

He was the son of Hosea and Elizabeth Eyre and the brother of Edith, Ernest, Edwin, Kate, Ethel, Mabel and Arthur Eyre. In 1911 they lived at 71 Norton Street Radford Nottingham. He was the husband of Lilian Eliza (née Flack) Eyre who later lived at Bilborough Nottingham.

Military History

Private Albert Eyre, enlisted at Nottingham and served with the 9th Battalion Northumberland Fusiliers. He landed in France on 15th July 1915 and was killed in action on 5th June 1917. Having no known grave his name is commemorated on the Arras Memorial.
