Family History

Ronald was the son of the Reverend James Campbell Vernon M.A. and Esther Elizabeth Mary Vernon of 24 Westcliffe Grove Harrogate Yorkshire. He had 5 siblings - sisters Mabel, Evelyn, Eleanor and Dorothy and brother Darrell. On the 1901 census the family was living in St Bartholomew's Vicarage Maltby.

Military History

Ronald served in South Africa with the General and Base Depot. He died of pneumonia at Wynberg South Africa and he is buried in Cape Town Plumstead Cemetery South Africa grave Reference: BI UN 25 .
