Family History

Robert was the younger son of John William Taylor, Brewer, Ancoats and his wife Emmie. They had two children Robert and John Albert. In 1901 they lived at Grange House Grange Avenue Leverhulme. By the 1911 census the family was living at Richmond Hill at Cheadle. The whole family was working in the brewing industry. Robert married Mary Gartside at the parish church at Birch in Rusholme Manchester on 18th September 1913. Mary was 24 and her father was Charles Garside a solicitor (deceased). Mary, known as Mollie, married Charles Morier in 1923 and they lived in London.Robert's effects of £1593 14 shillings and 8 pence went to his widow Mary Gartside Taylor( Probate 28/3/1919 Manchester).
